Recycler View - Android and Kotlin

My Android journey continues, lesson 4 we are working on Recycler views and we are just toasting the adapters with intent to create super looking scrolling lists of elements.

Context all the time. Views have contexts and toasters have context. So what activities are we going to open? But why is it that when we talk about intent to open a new view we must talk about class java? Anyway, it is ok lets ask view in this context to startAnActivity()

And, yes, do not forget to your funs, vars and vals. How the heck will I know when to call what? My biggest struggle is this. Everyone says its because we are new to code and with time and a lot of practice all will come in Swedish "Ska komma". So, in this spirit I continue to learn and struggle, toasting onCreating, overriding and what not.

Next week I have to give in my project specification, my worry is what will I do? I have not organized my mind yet to think of a specific project to do.

So Help Me God!

12 weeks of IOS app making with Swift

My IOS Journey

For the last 12 weeks, every Tuesday and Thursday, I sat in class for Swift lessons. Some days were longer than the others, sometimes I understood sometimes I did not. Many nights I sat till morning trying to find out why my code was not working.

How in the world, in 12 weeks will I be able to submit an app to AppStore?
I have been through difficult days, thought of not making it haunted me every other minute. I promised myself to do my best. I am not a nerd, I am just a Mom who after 15 years of full time stay home is looking to get re-educated into job market...the future job market.

Some good news, my first app called JamboABC is on appStore. Check it out, Rejoice with me for the milestone and Keep calm, I am learning and will improve on my skill and bring you some great looking apps in the future.

Rejoice for Mama learns to Code! Yeah!

Enjoy this journey with me. I must admit it is hard but I keep going forward and learning every day.
